10 DAY Daniels Challenge Fast
On Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the fast breakfast, Lunch & dinner will be of a modest diet consisting of:
Breakfast:
A Protein + grain (such as wheat toast) + juice or coffee
Lunch:
Salad + Protein +Fat Free or Low Fat Dressing + Juice
Dinner:
A protein + a starch + a vegetable
Fish is only protein to be used during this fast unless allergic or unable to consume for medical issues. ABSOLUTELY NO FRIED FOODS!!
(Please consume at least one 8 oz glass of water during days of fast)
No soda or granulated sugar or regular salts
Sea salt and organic or purified sugar and unrefined honey only
Juices must be all natural, sugar free or homemade
Desert or sweets must be organic or sugar free.
On Tuesday and Thursday which are our regular fast days, we will fast until 6pm. At the end of the fast we will all be in prayer together.
(Where ever you are pray at 6:00pm)
Expectant mothers and those with health issues or in need of taking certain meds, fast as close to a half day as possible. At approx. 3pm all those who fast a half day should be in prayer at the same time.
Following prayer your meal should consist of:
A full 8 oz glass of water
A Salad of any kind + a protein + fat free or low fat dressing preferably a vinaigrette or low fat honey mustard. Juices are allowed. If you insist or having a dessert it should consist of any naturally sweet items such a fruit, or any other dessert made with a natural sweetener.
Prayerfully we will build a bond of unity during this fast as well as a strong faith bond with GOD and each other. Lets prayer for and with each other.
Optional but not mandatory: No Social Media ( Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc.)
Food List
Fish only (exception of chicken for those with a seafood allergy or dietary need)
All fruits. Not an exhaustive list. These can be fresh, frozen, dried, juiced, or canned. Fruits include apples, bananas, blackberries, cherries, grapes, grapefruit, lemons, mangoes, peaches, etc.
All vegetables. Not an exhaustive list. These can be fresh, frozen, dried, juiced, or canned. Vegetables include asparagus, broccoli, brussel sprouts, carrots, cauliflower, corn, cucumber, kale, onions, potatoes, spinach, sweet potatoes, zucchini, etc.
All whole grains. Not an exhaustive list. Includes whole wheat, brown rice, millet, quinoa, oats, barley, grits, whole wheat pasta, whole wheat tortillas, rice cakes, and popcorn.
All Nuts and Seeds. Not an exhaustive list. Includes sunflower seeds, cashews, peanuts, and sesame—also, nut butters, including peanut butter.
All legumes.Not an exhaustive list. These can be canned or dried. Legumes include dried beans, pinto beans, split peas, lentils, black-eyed peas, kidney beans, black beans, cannellini beans, and white beans.
All quality oils. Not an exhaustive list. Includes olive, canola, grape seed, peanut, and sesame.
Beverages: Spring water, distilled water, or other pure waters. Fresh Fruit Juices/Smoothies, Tea/Coffee. Natural sugars only.
