Remember Who and Whose You Are

Day 13: Remember Who and Whose You Are (Identity)

Scripture:
"The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together."
Romans 8:16-17

Encouragement:
Imposter Syndrome leaves you questioning who you really are.  It leaves you thinking "Am I even deserving of this success”, even if you put the work in to achieve whatever it is. In a sense it pounces and prays on your identity , because in your mind you are now questioning. Listen , I understand and like I said I have been there. However, it is important for you to remember who you are and whose you are. What do I mean by that? Well it's simple, who are you? I dont mean like what is your name but more so who did God call you to be , what name does He call you by? Now if you are in a place where you are a little unclear on who you are let's turn to scripture because that gives us very clear indications of who we are it just up to you to believe who God is calling you to be. If we look above it says that you are a Heirs of God and Joint Heirs with Christ! An Heir is a person who is legally entitled to or inherits and continues the legacy of a predecessor. Do you truly understand that? Do you believe that? Beauce if you did that alone would knock out any questioning of who you are and the fact that you are entitled to great and amazing things coming to you. YOU ARE A HEIR, therefore you need to act like one. Heirs don’t question and doubt they just receive the inheritance that is owed to them. Taking on the mindset of Christ allows you to see yourself as someone who is definitely deserving of many things not because of anything special that you did/ do but because he simply called you that. God says you are good enough, he calls you deserving enough, my friend he calls you Heirs and Heirs with Christ. He places your name in the same line with Christ because he favors you too.

Challenge:
Fully believe in who God has called you to be so that you can rightfully take your place.

Prayer:
Lord, Thank you. Thank you for showing me who I am in you, as you show me who I am , I am gaining confidence in me because I trust that I am what you say I am. I am believing in you daily. Although it may be a challenge at times and in difficult moments hard to see who I truly am,  I choose to believe what you say about me and now what I think of myself. I come against any thoughts that come against who you say I am. I fully embrace the real me and walk in my greatness purposefully. Lord, I ask that you continue to show me new things about me so that I am able to have and do everything you want me to do.
In Jesus Name I Pray, Amen.
