WHAT IS PASSION WEEK?
What is passion week? It is the series of events that leads up the resurrection of Christ.
Luke 22:19-20:
“And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”
Palm Sunday: Jesus makes his entrance into Jerusalem.
Holy Wednesday: This darkness symbolizes the abandonment of Jesus by his disciples, as he prepares for the cross.
Maundy Thursday: The Last Supper; the final meal Jesus will have with his disciples.
Good Friday: Although to some the word "good" may be questionable; this is the day Christ is crucified.
Holy Saturday: They come to visit the tomb of Jesus.
Resurrection Sunday: Jesus has risen just like he said he would!!!
Each day we are to remember the ministry, life, death, and resurrection of Christ. Everything we do should be pleasing in the eyes of God; and honoring the gift he has given us. What will you do to show God thank you for another chance? What sacrifice are you willing to make to walk closer with him?
